The aircraft provider HMS Prince of Wales suffered a “mechanical difficulty,” the Royal Navy says

Britain’s most significant ship and the 2nd of the Royal Navy’s two plane carriers, HMS Prince of Wales, has damaged down shortly after embarking on a cross-Atlantic aviation demo.

The carrier “remains in the South Coast Exercise Region while conducting investigations into an rising mechanical problem,” the Royal Navy’s spokesperson claimed in a statement to the media on Sunday.

The incident happened just just one working day right after the vessel still left Portsmouth for what the Royal Navy described as “a landmark mission to condition the foreseeable future of stealth jet and drone operations.”

The Uk Defence Journal cited a resource as indicating divers learned that the ship’s propeller shaft appeared to be ruined.

According to Sky Information, the Prince of Wales is now anchored southeast of the Isle of Wight in England.
