Russia’s neighbour Kazakhstan halts arms exports amid Ukraine war

NUR-SULTAN: Kazakhstan, a neighbour and ally of Russia, has suspended all arms exports for a year, its authorities stated on Saturday, amid conflict in Ukraine and Western sanctions from Moscow.
The former Soviet republic – which also has energetic financial ties with Kyiv – has averted getting sides in the Ukrainian crisis whilst contacting for its tranquil resolution.
The Kazakh govt did not give a cause in Saturday’s assertion for the selection to halt arms exports.
Kazakhstan creates a broad vary of army devices, such as boats, armoured and artillery vehicles, device guns, night visors, grenades, torpedoes and protecting equipment. The govt has not explained these objects were being remaining exported.
